Cambridge BID: managing city centre dynamics

Cambridge Business Improvement District (BID) represents 1,100 businesses in central Cambridge; it has a remit to invest more than £3.5million in projects and initiatives designed to promote economic growth.

Our Brief:

  • To raise the media profile of Cambridge BID among regional business and consumer audiences, via proactive and reactive media relations
  • To communicate economic value-added within the BID community via monthly e-shots
  • To provide a press office function and media training opportunities for company spokespeople
  • To produce the Annual Report, distributed to city centre businesses and other stakeholders

Outcomes:
An ongoing relationship spanning four years, we’ve developed strong working relationships with key regional journalists and we enjoy regular coverage across all media outlets.  Over the past twelve months we’ve delivered almost 70 pieces of local, regional and national coverage for Cambridge BID; particular highlights include the development of a thought-leader series for Cambridge Business magazine and an editorial column for Cambridge Independent.
