Cambridge BID: managing city centre dynamics

Cambridge Business Improvement District (BID) represents a collection of 1,100 shops, bars, cafés, attractions, venues and professional services firms in the city centre; it works to ensure that visitors, employers and locals enjoy a vibrant, safe and clean environment.

Our Brief:

  • To raise the media profile of Cambridge BID among regional business and consumer audiences, via proactive and reactive media relations
  • To communicate economic value-added within the BID community via monthly e-shots
  • To provide a press office function and media training opportunities for company spokespeople
  • To produce the Annual Report, distributed to city centre businesses and other stakeholders

Outcomes:

An ongoing relationship spanning three years, we’ve developed strong working relationships with key regional journalists and enjoy regular coverage across all regional press and broadcast outlets.  Particular highlights include the development of a thought-leader series for Cambridge Business magazine and an editorial column for Cambridge Independent.
